I recently purcahsed a pack of 25 - 16xDVD -R's from Morrisons at a bargain basement price, or so it seems..
I have an External Gericom DL DVD RW bought from Aldi last year. I believe it is a thinly disguised Samsung TSST corp CD/DVDW TS-H552U Rev US02.
The DVD pack I bought refers to problems using these faster 16x discs on slower drives, of which the Gericom is a 4x max, and that you should get a firmware update from the manufacturer.
However when I go onto the Samsung website. Although it lists a number of drivers for the TS-H552U it misses out US02 i.e it shows US01,US03, US04 US05 etc.......
I have tried using these and it does give error messages when doing the compare at the end.
Post your Nero log and our friendly Moderator creaky will help to sort you out. He's the one and only Nero-nator. I might be able to look at the log and see what's wrong, but I can't be here to help out as much as I used to. So I'm sure creaky will be able to tweak and resolve in due time.
Remember: you need to EDIT your serial number in prior to post/reply back in here.

you need the firmware flashing utility, it's at the link i provided for the US07 file, well just to the right of it..
as to Nero, let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.
You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"
