When I use Swap Magic to play NTSC games on a PAL TV, I have been using the PAL settings so it's in colour. However, the sound becomes very glitchy or lags. Is there anyway to stop this? Does it work properly in NTSC mode, and therefore, will an NTSC friendly TV solve my problem.
I'm not sure what you mean? Do you mean to see if a PAL game works properly?
If so, then yes they do. Only NTSC games have glitches in the sound, and only during cutscenes. The sound is either lagging behind the video, or cuts on and off.
Ah, Do You have a NTSC System?
Cuz i had once the same problem.
It sucked, untill i had installed the encrypted decoder on my ps2.
I had all the info and it seemed the game-format was PAL
But accidently the game was produced, in the factory, TO NTSC.
The sound-speed and texture smothing weren't at same CPU-length.
There was overload to sound, and the video was normal.
Sometimes it was the opposite way...
Or your system is one big error, or the game got a bit f*cked up
Well i heard PAL only works on PAL and the same with NTSC.
I just heard it, but keep up good hopes for any convertor.
Nice having this thread.
Any thing u want to know, post it here:
Well, i heard of some DVidi2 convertor, one of my friends told me this today. It has all to do with wires in the PS2 reader.
There are a few wires going to dead ends, these ones can be clipped on
an extra chip u can buy.
This will cost u a lot of work manualy. It's something like a chip, but it has other goals...
Ya can't find these ones in your Game-store.
I think u will find these in a Black Media market.
Good luck anyway...
