I have backed up a few movies recently and noticed when I watched them that the end of the movies have jittery moments, (ie. the movie will pause then continue), only watched two movies so far and noticed it, one was worse than the other but since it seems to be a patter I figured I would ask.

I used anydvd/clonedvd along with TGY02/3 media

Thanks

Maybe you're burning too close to the outer edge of the disk. Those TGY02 or are they TYGO2/03, and there are fake media going around so what brand is it? the name ...

In CloneDVD2, on the right of the quality bar is a drop down menu.... set it to DVD-5, or Custom and set it no more than 4484KB for good quality media or 4400KB for not so good! This will stop it from going too close to the outer edge of your disk!

Chances are that you're burning too fast, there are other factors that can contribute to/cause this.

So start here:
In colnedvd2's last screen when choosing output type, make sure that the write/burn speed isn't set to maximum, choose 4x from the dropdown (or choose a speed that's 1/2 the rated speed of the media you're using). As always, make sure you're using media that's considered to be of good quality.

They are actually TYG01, ordered from shop4tech.com

Do you think they are legit?

Also thanks for the feedback, I will try this out with my future burns.

You can burn out to the very edge with those disks and not have a problem with play back, their quality is very good. Control that burn speed as suggested and I'm sure your problem will be no more.

I use them and have been using them for a long time now and burn out as far as possible and have not had that problem yet, I burn at either 4x or 6x, playback is always perfect.

One other thing to add, make sure that the burner's firmware is upto date, the updates contain added media support and improved write stratagies for media, which can make a big difference.
