Does your Xbox have a error screen that is green and balck with differnet languages saying system error contact Microsoft? If so, post comment here and i can help you out!

Some people who think they know so much about softmodding or maybe they got a wrong tutorial mess up their xbox. In this case you may have deleted back up files or something that shouldnt have been messed with. Whatever the case may be some people do mess up and this thread is for yall. Just comment your problem here and dont bother calling Microsoft cause they will just say sned it in and pay 65-80 dollars.

Okay Raidrmam, the best solution i can come up with is that you went to ur dashboard which is ...(let me knoe if its Unleashed X or Evolution X) and u locked it of course and when you did, you tried to do something and the error screen comes up. Right? If so then i think you might have tried to change your password, or didnt back up any files dealing with the softmod. If im wrong or ur talking about something else, just reply.

I used the eeprom that I copied to the iso of xboxhdm to lock the new HD on option 3 when I put lockhd -a it said command succesful I have evox 3935 loaded on my original HD thank for helping

Could it be that evox gave me the wrong eeprom and does it matter what game I used to softmod? Also if this new drive has already had the C E F folder partitioned into it can I just go back into xboxhdm and unlock it and redo step 1 without messing up the HD?

Yes it does matter wat game u used and what version of linux u installed. (Could been a bad file or something) Anyway, u can only use Meccasault, 007 Agebt Under of Fire, and Splinter Cell. All versions CANNOT repeat cannot be a platnium hits version. Has to be the first version of the game or anything that doesnt have the label with platnim hits. The platnium hits version seems to contain corrupted files that messes up linux file so.., but yea if u plan to undo the softmod, i will send u the right files and in my opinion, the Unleased or Evo dash works better than xboxhdm..

Thats funny I've done hundreds of softmods w/ the Platinum Hits versions of Splinter Cell/MechAssault, I guess they just work with the SID 3.1 Installer.
Proud owner of an original release day V1.0 Xbox w/ Xenium ICE SP, Xenium 2.3.1 OS, w/ Avalaunch, Evox, and XBMC dashboards.
I can mod an Xbox in 3 minutes or less!

I tried softmodding my Xbox with the Platnuim Hits version and crashed the harddrive..so i dont want the same thing to happend to ppl in this forum so i have gave ppl the warning about the version(s) of the game..(Platnuim Hits and the Regular)..but if you got it to work and everything is going good..than all the better :)

hey man whats up?, this will be a test of ur knowledge lol i have an x3 ce modchip and it has an option to flash eeprom from the chip to the xbox i did this and now i have error 6 any help would be nice

Im wondering if you backed up all your files. If not then thats your problem. But if u did, all you have to do is go back to the main dashboard, and just restore the ms dashboard. Thats it. And after that, turn off your xbox, turn it back on and wa-lah. Create all the 2 months u need.

And @Cereal,
Not to common with the kind of chip, but i might can give u some advice. U should be able to restore and files on your xbox that you should have had on your pc or maybe on your hardrive. (Might not show up on ur hard drive) If so, try restoring those and u also might want to check into making sure that ur chip is installed right, maybe connecting to your xbox, and also seeing if its like a softmod to..make sure the static ip is on or off. (Should be off. If it isnt, turn it off, and restart xbox.) Well man im hopeing it was a little help and if not reply and i have a friend on here who has a x5 chip. Peace
