Swap magic 3.6...I feel so sad..

Well, my swap magic package just arrived today and I've been trying to get it to work all day. I set up my magic switch parts, and put in the disk. Swap magic boots up, but when I put in my backup disc, it says.."Not a valid ps2 disc". Then it said something about needing a bigger toc disc. Anyway, does anyone know how to fix this? I'm becoming really depressed that I waited so long for nothing.

By the way, I'm using Verbatim 16x DVD-R and have already wasted 3/10 disks that didn't work.

What media are you using?

Did you try loading the backup using X and SQUARE? When I used crap memorex media it only loaded with SQUARE but with my Taiyo Yudens it works with X

lot of people dont like 16x media. 8x is the best from what I read. Did you burn them at half speed though? That would be 8x for your 16x.

Also check out what I said up top here.

Plus Verbatim is supposed to be pretty good so it could be the speed...

I burnt it at 4x..maybe thats the problem?..Even so..it doesn't even go black or anything..It simply freezes for a second on the swap magic screen. -.-. Maybe theirs something wrong with the swap magic disk?

try burning it at 8x

if that doesnt work try getting a 8x media and burning that at 4x

Well, I just tried it at 8x and it froze for a second when I pressed Load Program, then went back to normal Load Program. Didn't open or even show any colors. Same thing that happens to everything I try. However, my originals work when I swap them...so why won't my backups?

OMFG I AM SO FUCKING HAPPY!

i got mine to work here is how

load up
when u come to screen
press eject
then put in a normal ps2 game
then close

Wait for it to load TOC
then now using ur tool remove the disc and put burnt one
then goto nomral and click default or whatever
(must not press eject once u have put in original ps2 game)

now ur ps2 thinks u have valid game in because it did not detect game swap/disc swap now press X and it should miraccly load up!

worked for me using 3.8

I got mines working too, Tool E wasn't in properly, and the disc wouldn't spin.I use some tape and works aight now. But I always have to adjust it everytime I want to play a game. x_x. so thats a hassle.
