Corrupt RAR files

I've downloaded two games this week...both had a 'WinRAR diagnostic: The File is Corrupt' message when I tried to extract the iso.
Noone on the torrent forum seemed to have the same problem, anyway...there must be a way to fix them, I've tried the Repair archive feature (though I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly)to no avail.The rebuilt RAR still displayed the error at the end of the extraction...
Hope someone can help.

Are you extracting them from the original download file or have you moved them and then tried extracting them.

I'm extracting from the download folder/location...
You've really never had a corrupt file message...I've had a good few.

I take it these files have extensions .001,.002,.003 etc ?

The more info you can give us the better.

It's all RAR files. I checked with the uploader and he said he double-checked for errors when posting it, I did a Force Re-check (I'm still seeding the thing) - no errors.
Don't know what's up...

hello

have you got the sfv file with it?

you need to find out which rar's are damaged,then once you have found that out,move the files to a new folder (out the way)
then once you done that,re-download the torrent,...you need to use a client that allows you to choose which of the rar files you want and the ones you dont want to download.
just download the missing rar's again.
you could also try finding out the damaged archives,remove them,then redownload the torrent file again
the torrent file would then check what you got,then download what you havent got

you dont want to be seeding a corrupt file,thats for sure

btw @ jamaal,PAR files are for newgroups :)

Hmmm...it's just one big RAR file. I ended up deleting it and trying a different torrent (which I'm still waiting to complete...)

one big rar file??...thats crap,must be a newbie uploader,
that sort of big upload would get nuked on most sites

thats why u should never download a torrent like that,and the uploader wont know if its corrupt or not,and should know better
you get too many errors from uploads when they are done like that

Yeah - thought it was weird too. I'm beginning to avoid any torrent that even mentions www.solops2
Some people upload the biggest pile of crap...why would they even bother...and if they do, why can't they name the torrent properly? (ie: console - game name -region/platform- file type)
