Hi,
Im trying to refresh the TOC size on my slimline PS2 using SwapMagic discs v3.6 in order for me to play Fifa 2006 World Cup DVD back-up.
Im just wondering how long does it take to actually refresh the TOC size once you've put in the PS2 disc? In my case Iv put in a GTA3 disc and it just keeps spinning for ages, Iv also tried Manhunt, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas all with the same result of the disc just spinning. Any suggestions? Btw all these games are PAL versions.

I plan on "Aquiring" Fifa WC 2006 tonight.

I will just rebuild it normally as ive heard thats all is needed.

Although I do have a Q about refreshing TOC.

After inserting your Swap Magic disc and your at the prompt screen.
Do you need to use the slide tool to open the tray for a TOC refresh, or can you just press the eject button,
because I notice that it says "TOC REFRESH" if you just press eject normally.

I dont have any games that require a refresh this as of yet, but id like to know how to do it for when the time comes.

thx

thats correct, then you put in your original disc and then insert the slide or whatever your using so that you can change the disc when it stops spinning without the ps2 knowing it is open.

if you are using swap magic correctly, you should never see the Refresh TOC screen o.o

I can confirm you do not need to TOC refresh with Fifa world cup 2k6.

all that is required is a rebuild (removes over 1.5GB of empty space from the ISO)

and works fine

rebuild ISO is about 2.6 gigs
