HOW TO SOFTMOD XBOX
Materials needed: ARMAX, FlashFXP (FTP client), an xbox (DOH!), EVOX, Splinter cell 1 (it can be platinum), DOThalo (if your going to make
your own mods), map resigner, the splintercell linux files which i have (website at bottom)
***Warning*** I am in no way responsible for anything that happends to your xbox or any software. But i will garantee that the programs and linux files are spyware and virus free
1. Download Linux files on to Computer
2. Open up ARMAX then drag the the both entire .zip file into the mem card slot
3. When finshed uploading linux files on to mem card go to xbox and copy the linux files on to your xbox HDD
4. When done put in splintercell 1 and then go to new game and look for LINUX gamesave press A then go to checkpoints and press A.
***This part of the tut is how to mod halo 2***
5. It should go to a new menu that says Evolution X go to system utils and to settings look for xbox IP write it down you will need it later.
6. Go to your computer and open FlashFXP and find a little lighting bolt on the top right.
Click quick connect
7. Go to sever or URL and type your xbox IP then go to username and typr xbox and the password is xbox.
8. If you did it right the should be a whole list of files. Click the letter E and more files should of popped up go to the to TDATA file then to the file that ends in that ends in 64. three more files should have popped up (that the halo 2 map files).
9. Before you do this you might want to know what the hell deltatap.map, dune.map and triplicate.map are. dune is relic and triplicate is terminal and deltatap is sanctuary
all the rest are the same.
10. Finshed with setting up how to mod now its time to mod!!
11. First you have to find your mod i recommend....

12. When you get the mod you are you looking for then get ppf-o-matic and super ppf you can get both at ppfnoobs.tk under modding programs.
13. To apply .PPF to map go to ppf o matic then go to the blank white bar that says ISO file thats the .map file click the little floppy symbol then look for the map that you want to mod.then under that is should say patch file thats the .PPF file look for the .PPF file. When done hit apply patch (THE .PPF FILE MUST MATCH THE .MAP FILE OR IT WILL SAY THAT YOU FAILED TO LOAD THE MAP)
14. For .SPPF (super PPF) go to super ppf o matic (its very groove colors right?) anyways look at the bottom and look for map file then click the floppy symbol look for the map that your appling the .SPPF to and double click it.then look right underneath it it should say
.sPPF file or patch file click the symbol to the right of that look for the .SPPF file to patch the .map file then hit apply SPPF (THE .PPF FILE MUST MATCH THE .MAP FILE OR IT WILL SAY THAT YOU FAILED TO LOAD THE MAP)

16. Go to map resigner and open map then resign the map.

After I save the file and try to run it I get a error message saying - The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application. - Anyone recognize? I appriciate the help

Now that I have completed that step, I have yet another question... What is the best way to putting the modded maps back onto your xbox? should I connect to my xbox thru my pc and save over the original maps? or should I use Action Replay?

deltatap.map (sanctuary)

it does'nt have to be connected to the internet if you have a router jus connect the xbox and the comp to the router and use the ip given by EVOX or, you could try getting a crossover cable and connect the computer to the xbox directly

Are you kidding? That's how you do it. Connect your xbox directly to your computer with an etherent cable. NOT A CROSSOVER CABLE. USE A PLAIN ETHERNET CABLE (a straight-through cable). Now go to network settings in your modded dashboard. Find your IP and ftp.

Okay thats is 100% wrong. The way to FTP is through a direct connect, using a regualar (straight-through) ethernet cable. Don't use a router.
ALSO DONT USE A CROSSOVER CABLE! sheesh

Stop saying we are wrong when you don't know what you ar talking about...........YOU ARE WRONG
YOu can't direct connect to your computer from your xbox with a regular ehternet cable
You need a crossover cable to direct connect....
Only say stuff when you know you are correct
