okoay so im looking for this program so i can put games on the HDD apparently but i cant find it at all
can anyone point me in the right direction?

yeah i have modded my xbox with sid 4.5 its kool. Any chance you can get a HTTP download as im in uni and torrents are blocked

well if you modded your xbox with unleash X then dvd2xbox is already on your xbox just to let you know incase that is what you have on your xbox

that is wrong you have to install DVD2Xbox on there, i have never heard of it installing itself with the dashboard the older version of UnleashX had its own built in copy but thats not the same thing....

Slayer's automatically installs your Apps for you however AID does not I think he just has them mixed up, because Slayer's does not install UnleashX it installs Evox.
Proud owner of an original release day V1.0 Xbox w/ Xenium ICE SP, Xenium 2.3.1 OS, w/ Avalaunch, Evox, and XBMC dashboards.
I can mod an Xbox in 3 minutes or less!

Oakley28 how did you install your softmod with SID 4.5 cos when i try to do it the screen turns black and the LED orange ( i have both mechassault and splinter cell)

i used splinter cell:
i did the following:
Put the ffiles (both sid 4.5 and the splinter cell linux_profile) onto your memory card
Insert the memory card into the controller and transfer the files onto the hard drive
put splinter cell into the xbox
click on load level and then you will see the Linux_Profile click that and press on checkpoints, now the Softmod should load up
First go into the back-up section and create eeprom back up and MSBack up
Then install the softmod, you can either do single boot or dual boot for if you want to use xbox live. I used single boot but its up to you.
When the softmod has finished read and understand the pop-ups that appear, then take out the game and turn off the xbox
turn the xbox back on to confirm the install and press A to finish
now the dashboard should appear!!!!

thats it right there make sure you have no other saves of the game you are using to softmod on your xbox though......

cool thanks for the help but the same thing is still happening, i have read on the SID website that orange is the colour the LED is surpposed to be but i keep getting a black screen

i think it might be that my AR is corrupting the files i will have to save up for a MAX drive
|
