sony DW-Q58A gives illegal copies message

I just purchased a new laptop, dell 6400 with a sony dvd dual layer recorder dw-q58a. I cracked the movie we purchased the constant gardener with dvd decrypter and when I bring it into nero ultra 6 recode 2 it starts the burning process and then I receive the message that it is an illegal copy and stops. I put the same movie with the same software on my desktop and I am able to make a backup no problem. Any ideas on what is going wrong? I figure it may be the recorder that is the problem. Is there a workaround.

Probably be worthwhile to remove any software that was bundled with your laptop.

I already tried that, the only thing I left was the Dell Media experience

Sounds like some DRM at work perhaps...Give DVDFab Decrypter a shot and see if you get the same results on your laptop after ripping with it.
