I have a friend that has a Toshiba laptop & he has dvd shrink & a up to date version of nero. the same thing that is on my HP laptop.

On the HP laptop the movie ejects after the movie encodes & after i insert the dvd blank nero starts automatically.

Now on his Laptop after it encodes the movie nothing happens.

all the settings on both laptops are the same. we both DL dvd shrink from the same site & bothe have the same version of nero.

Also after the movie encodes, we can find the TS folder but there are no files in the folder.

What could be wrong ???

is this nero v 6.6.1.4, as it was full of bugs & causes problems when trying to burn with shrink

Uninstall Nero - run the clean tool - then install version 6.6.0.18

nor do i? it's one of the wonders of the world. i do know Nero 6.6.1.4 has bugs & causes all sorts of problems, maybe he got lucky & the bugs haven't appeared on his pc????? (YET!!!!!) :-)

im not running Nero 6.6.1.4

im using Nero 6.3.1.17 & DVD Shrink 3.2

are you sure that yours is set to burn with Nero? check in the preferences that burning with Nero is enabled.
if it is & everything looks ok, i would uninstall & re-install
