I want to add some apps to my ps2 hard drive ??
elfs or whatever ?? which ones should I use ??? I want to boot it to a CD and put it on my ps2 ??
My toxioc 0.41 came with a .ELF file, but when I put the file on a cd and on my ps2 select apps, install and it says insert cd with elf file. I put the cd in and it says no installation scripts found.
So as you can see I'm having some trouble with the apps. Can somebody help me get some cool apps on my ps2 ?? I want to get the most out of my ps2 by using all the features.

I have a DMS4 SE PRO.
Do I have the right bios ?? I got Toxic OS 0.41 on it right now and it seems O.K..!
Can you help me out with getting apps on there ??

Since you have the Pro, do you have a hard drive installed? If you do, go to the link below, download the application and then burn the ISO to a CD. This link points you to the "Mega Pack", which is a very large collection of PS2 applications (some you'll use often, others never).
To install them, turn on your PS2, go into the DMS OS, insert the CD, then go into Applications then install. Select all the applications and you should be all set.

Hey guys,
I got the package but I had no luck getting any applications.
I tried everything, and I'm down to two CDs left. I used the mega pack and the original one I had, 0.41. they look both the same to me. whenever I try to install the apps it says invalid install script. what can I be doing wrong ? any Ideas ?

how are you burning it, what files are you burning?
I have not downloaded the Megapack yet as i do not have an HDD on my PSTwo since the slimline is a pain.
I have done plenty of ToxicOS upgrades so if you have trouble with burning and updating the chip to V0.41 post up and i will give you a quick step by step.

I can switch from v0.40(the megapack) and v0.41(DMS4 SE PRO Toxic OS) no problem. I want to have all the applications(apps), when your on the toxic OS, on the tool bar it says apps( i think). I want to install some and everytime I try it says invalid install script. I tried everything and it won't work. I want to install one pack or something with all the apps at once to get the most out of my chip and all it's features. I don't know why I can't get it to work. I can get the toxic flashed on the chip no problem though.
Thanks guys, if you got any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

why type of files are they? ELF ?
those should be able to be stored right on the flash memeory of the chip. If not then they may be made to install on a hard drive.

yeah, I think that's what I'm supposed to be using. the only think is I cant get it to install any apps. when I try, it says invalid install script. So I don't know what I'm supposed to do.

When you burn the maega cd are you burning it as a cd image or are you just copying the file(s) straight into a compilation?

compilation??? I'm making a data disk and it seems to work. I used iso image for toxic os, but I don't even really remember for the mega os, although they both seem to work as far as flashing. I just can't get apps to install. My xbox has all kinds of apps. that's what I'm tryin to do with my ps2. I can copy my games to the hard drive and everything, but I'm just curious about the apps and what's available for it. I'm not really sure what they are, but I want to find out and how I can install them.
