I have halo 2 on my Xbox Harddrive and when I boot the game up, I cant get on Live. But when I have the game disk in I can. The only difference between then is i didnt copy the campaign maps. Any way I can get on xbox live and be modding the original maps? Cause its the whole reason i copied it to my harddrive.

you cant go on live with anytype of mod on....if your softmodded then you hopefullt have the dual-boot option because you will get banned if you go on live with a normal softmod.....to play on live your chips/softmod needs to be off and you have to have the original game disc....

Actually you can go onto Xbox Livee with a modded or soft modded Xbox. If it's hard modded make sure your chip is turned off because your Xbox's eeprom will get banned and if you are using soft mod you can get on Xbox Live fine but if you have modded content on your Xbox then your Xbox Live account will get banned in no shorter than 6 hours. So you have 6 hours to do what you please until you get banned from Matchmaking!

But you do not get banned for a soft modded Xbox unless for instance your Halo 2 maps are modded!

i know how to mod the old maps....

you use a backup copy of the game(disc) and before you burn the copy of the game you mod the old maps and then burn the modded maps instead of the normal old ones.then once your in live, you get someone else to load the game(or make them party leader)you go into matchmaking, and then once the game has started the party leader leaves(please note i think the party leader has to be host, so to be sure get a bridger in) and once they have left you will become the party leader and inherit host(hopefully) once that is you will be modding old maps in matchmaking.you have to repeat this everytime you enter a new game.

slice.

YOU win some, YOU lose some, either way I WIN

To mod the disk maps online you just replace the signature of the old map with one of the new maps. If you want to mod acension, replace the signature with turf's signature and rename the map. So when you select turf from your xbox, you will load up your modded acension. It's something around those lines. I forgot how you do it.
