Hello I am new to this forum and to modded xbox.
I have an xbox with a xecuter 2 and evolution x dashboard.
The problem that I am having is that when I try to play a regular game it says "your xbox needs service" with the code 16. I read that this has something to do with the clock.
I can play all my emulators and I can get to the evolution x dashboard if no game is in the xbox.
How can I fix this problem so that I am still able to play regular games?
Any advice is very much appreciated!

yes, it does have to do with the clock. if you unplug your xbox for about 5 hours it resets itself. but if you deleted the dashboard then you get error 16. Did you buy this online from someone or from a company. here is a link to help explain error codes. i hope it helps.

I bought it from a private party. I can still go to the MS dashboard from the evolution x dashboard but i cannot do anything with the clock. How do I fix this problem?

Good News! I fixed the clock problem. Now I have another problem.
I am able to play games that do not have Xbox Live. But when I put in a game that is able to be played on Xbox Live, it just goes straight to my evolution x dashboard. I am not trying to play on Live I just want to play the games. Any ideas? Thank you very much!

first try unplugging your ethernet cord then playing a game that is online enabled (with ethernet cord unplugged) then try plugging it back in a going online.

Just disable the auto sign-in feature

When I am in the MS dashboard and go to the Live section, so that I can change the settings, an error screen comes up with code 21. I have been looking and cannot seem to find a good explanation of what error code 21 means.

if you have evox dashbaord then download slayer disk 2.6 final and if you have the unleash X dashboard then download auto-installer deluxe v3.0 burn it to a DVD-R then put it in your xbox

Well i know one thing..i am a modder and when i first tried to mod my xbox..i didnt back up my files, delted most of them, and then i came up with error 21. Just like all error screens, its black and has green letters and it says Contact Customer Support or something like that and then like a billon languages come up..lol..but i think to fix ur problem if you did back up ur files is to put ur xbox back to normal..meaning that when u turn it on it should be the regular dash even with a cd or not, and get rid of the softmod. After you undo it, redo the softmod but try a differnt linux file. Maybe the one u did was a bad file or something. Also try seeing in your setting if your IP is correct. MAybe thats y it will not connect..hope this helps

It is not that it wont connect online. It wont play games that are xbox live enabled. It will play games like THPS that dont have the ability to go online but it will not play NFL2k5 or Rainbow 63 or anything that has the ability to go online. It dosent even load the game it just comes up with the error screen. Is there something different about these games that makes my xbox not even read them?

You need to replace your MS dash!!! Its been mentioned to you twice in this thread already, haven't seen were you mentioned that you tried doing so. I advised you to download my softmod disc and just swap out your folders and Xx1modxX told you pretty much to use a Slayer's disc to re-do your dash as well; can't do much more for you other than that, your MS Dash is obviously corrupted in some manner.
