I was wondering if there was anywhere to purchase/download just the ps2 linux software or if it was just produced for the kit that was discontinued a few years ago.

i cant post the link but bittorrent is the way to go i found the ps2 linux and i downloaded it. i dont know much about ps2 linux but i can tell u that its in bittorrent.

You could, but keep in mind that you're not allowed to post direct links to torrent files... Besides that, it's not really that great, unless you're the kind of Linux enthusiast that lives for it.
