uh ya well ive been experimenting with my psp with homebrew and other junk and it was working fine i did everything right downgrading my psp but i guess i was playing snes and i decided to trun my psp off and like a day later i turned it on and all it gives me is the backround screen and nothing else! what do i do to fix this problem

well if it turns on that far, it's not bricked.

Have you tried the usual take the battery out trick ?

also take the umd out if its in there. I went through a period where my psp didn't want to read the umd (which is what it does first when you power it on) and it only sat there with no background just like you described. When I took out the UMD it worked fine.

ya but there is no umd in the psp it just doesnt do anything just a black screen, and what battery trick?

Just take the battery out for 10 seconds then put it back in and turn it on again. It gives a more comprehensive reset of the PSP.

It sometimes does the trick
