I think it is 325 for the 3500. If you click the Future-fta link on the previous page, the bins are listed by model number.

Does anyone know why my 3500 will not keep the time?
Is there an internal battery for the clock?
Thanks!

HELP! I try to use Nimiq 1.2/ku but it doesn't pick up any signal. Did the antenna name change to something else? I do have the latest bin installed.

Pansat receivers have had an clock problem for as long as I can remember. They issued bin files just to help fix that and I thought it was corrected long ago. Possibly they missed something in the latest bin release that messed with the clock timing again. You can check these 2 sites below to see if a clock issue as re-surfaced.

No, they didn't change any names. BEV sats usually take somewhat longer to auto roll the keys. If you have the newest bin file, just turn it on and wait 5 to 10 minutes. Make sure auto roll is turned back on in the receiver menu.

PANSAT 3500 - QUALITY ZERO FOR Nimiq1.3/KU
Jerry,
few weeks ago, I began loosing the quality of the signal and could barely watch the channels. So I reset the Factory Setting and installed the latest bin. Since them despite LEVEL is around 90% and the QUALITY some time bounces to 90% but quickly return to zero.
I just have the Nimiq1.3/KU on this receiver [only one satellite angle], and I have another DISHNETWORK receiver that I regularly pay for. I took the cable of the DISHNETWORK installed on my PANSAT 3500 SD and did a BLIND SCAN, and nothing was found.
I have open my receiver to see if there was any burned components, such as capacitors; but I couldn?t see nothing wrong, everything looks like new.
Could you help me or should I throw the receiver away?
Thanks!

you dont need to throw it away yet!!
i used to have same problem as yours but with pansat 2700...and heres how i fixed my issue...i opened up the cover of my reciver, on the power supply, there are two capcitor labled C-14 and C-13, those two need to be changed. as soon as i changed those two capcitor and viola i got my channels back. so you have pansat 3500, i dont know if thats the same capcitor in there or not. but i would give a shot and change those two capcitor. i know you have already taken a look at your reciever and u didnt find any burned capcitor, my capcitor didnt look like they were burned but i still changed them and got my channels back.

PANSAT 3500 - QUALITY ZERO FOR Nimiq1.3/KU
Jerry,
To tell you the true when I looked inside the receiver, I could not identify the capacitors C14 and C14. I will look for the manual to see if it tell me which one are those.
Thanks for the quick help. I will keep you posted of the results.

One of the things I would check is to see if a tree or some other object is now blocking your signal. The fact that you say the quality is sometimes bouncing off 90% at times may indicate something in the way or a loose dish mount/LNB. Could also be just a loose cable connector.

hey Jerry I had the same problem with signal bouncing from 90% - 0% back to 90% The problem was a bad LNB. The coaxial connector on the LNB was lose. It just happened from the elements outside. I installed a new LNB and it worked fine.
It could also be a bad coaxial cable. somwhere from your receiver to the LND. Does this happen on 110 or 119?
Thanks

Hi Guys,
thanks for trying to help me.
As I mentioned before I have another DishNetwork receiver that I pay regularly and therefore works fine. I took the dishnetwork cable and connected to the Pansat and did a Blind Scan, and nothing was found. So I don't think the problem is related to trees, LNB or cable. The only thing that I can think are the bad capacitors.
CPK2006, the signal that I want is the Bell [ Nimiq1.3].
Jerry, do you think the capacitor would be the same ones for 3500? C13 & C14? I removed the receiver cover and have identified those.
Thanks again!

i think they could be the same, and the only u could find out is by looking at the capacitor and see if you can read 470uF,16V. that number is labled on the capacitor.

You can't receive BEV if your dish is pointed at the DN sats. We are talking completely different sats. You would need to re-aim the dish or install a second dish to receive BEV.

They change the encryption keys several times a day. You need to install the newest bin file so your receiver will auto roll the new keys for you. The other choice is to turn off auto roll and change the keys manually when needed. For more information or guides join this site below. Its free.
