I don't know if this helps, but it is a c/p out of the installation manual for the 3500.
32) It is important that you configure the Time Settings properly for a good
EPG. First set the Time zone. Use your volume buttons on the pansat remote to
change your GMT time setting (ie. Eastern, Mountain, etc.).
33) Then scroll down to the Current Time and press OK. Use the remote?s
number pad channel buttons to input year, month, date and time.

If you are talking about the Viewsat, its sets the time off the signal stream from the sats. You may need to go into the time section of the menu and change the + or - hrs to get the right time zone. It should be automatic after that.

Stupid me. I thought he was talking about a pansat 3500. Didn't read far enough up in the posts, just the thread he was posting in.

Pansat is a very good box, however you will really like the Viewsat after getting use to it. Not a big difference in setup or usage just some slight differences.

On most receivers you use the remote and enter 8282. Not sure the 2500 has that feature or not. You should be able to access the nagravision section from the menu also.

Most of the terms should be the same or very similar. However I don't own a Coolsat so I'm not sure how close they are.

Jerry,
I just got my Pansat 3500 in the mail today. I was able to load the newest bin. However, the channels are not named correctly and they are all over the place. Is there a different file I need to upload or do I need to do something in the "menu" screen.
Thank you!

You should be able to fix that in the Channel edit menu. You should have an option for channel sorting. Sort by SID puts the channels in numeric order.

Nah, it doesn't work. It goes from (example) 23, 24, 25, to 8657 then 5736, then to 234. Ouch...this is pain! Isn't there a list that it could be loaded that would sort all the channels? I know Coolsat used to have it; not all of their bins sort the channels. Is there a simmilar thing with Pansat 3500?

When I had my pansat 2700 it had the sort by sid in the menu. I was pretty sure the 3500 had it also. I guess try the FTA/scramble option and see what that does. If that doesn't work, There should be a channel list on this site below. Free to join.
http://www.future-fta.info.
May also be something on how to get it to sort by SID there.

Jerry,
I forgot to ask; on Pansat 3500, what's the name of 97 degree satellite? I know it's called IA-5 on Coolast...for some reason I just can't find it under satellite list on Pansat 3500 unless is named different.

Just figured it out; it's G25. Thanks again.
