How do I do the antenna set up for my pansat 3500 I have no clue what SAT to select or what to do with all the options on the right. I have my DN sat pointed to 110 & 119 from a previous instal but have no idea how to do the initial setup for my pansat

I insatlled the 342 bin, but it doesn't do the autoroll. Previous versions did. Someone wrote the autoroll is 8282. How do I enter the 8282 to get it going fully? This unit is a 3500sd with sd card updates.

Enter 8282 on the remote, then you should see the options for auto roll. Be advised the premium PPV channels are out again. They keep changing the encryption as fast as the coders fix it.

110 is listed as Echo or Echostar 8,10. 119 is listed as Echo or Echostar 7. I don't know what dish you have installed but the more common dish for 2 sats is called DishPro (DP). Try that selection in the lnb settings. Try 11250 for LNB freq. Try sw21 for Legacy switch. I'm guessing on these because I have no idea what dish you have. Watch the signal bar as you select these settings. If signal drops way off then try a different selection. I think the Diseqc selections are port 1 for 119 and port 2 for 110 but those may need reversed.

Thanx Jerry, I have Dish 500 and I am in South Texas, I don't know if that matters for the settings. I will try these settings as soon as I get home. I am sure this wont be my last question but I will keep you posted until I get this up and running.

Here is a link to a setup guide. Youu may need to join the forum to see it but thats free. Its also hard getting into some of these sites because of all the problems. Just keep trying.

The first link is still hard to get to. Try this second link and you should get through. Free to join also.

My 3500sd cannot bring in sat echo 4 (for locals) echo 7 or 9, blows up each time i try and select the sats, for download. However, with the 345 bin I am using the Nim1q 2Ku and 1.3Ku sats. Never had them before. These are from Canada. Limited channels. Something has been going wrong since the 335 bins. Can anyone help?

I was always able to bring in the Echo sat 4, 7 and 9, until recently.

The Pansat3500 new bin 345 are down at the moment. DN channels are not working. You have to wait for a new fix.

Hi... I just purchased a 3500 Pansat but think I might have been dupped' by getting a fake/clone! Is anyone familiar with this model and what I have to do to get it working... I have done a scan from BEV and the channels info works but gives me a message of Scrambled or bad channel. I have also used the latest Bin?
My reciever looks like this...

The last time I had mine on (last night) the only channels out on DN were the PPV, XXX, and premium movie channels like HBO-Showtime. The regular channels were working and 2 channels up high above the VOD channels were showing some of the PPV movies and are still working. They are listed as DRMT3 and DRMT5 5899 and 5901. We are still waiting on a fix for the Premium channels.

Hard to guess at the audio problem. Did you try a coax cable straight from the 3500 to the TV? Maybe the other audio outputs have problems. Maybe you downloaded a defective bin file. Try a file from anothet site and reload the receiver.

Hi Jerry... my pansat 3500 looks like this...
http://btecanada.com/catalog/images/Sate...-3500-Clone.gif
there seems to be no way to enter the keys in manually... I read one of your posts that say the new bins don't need to input the keys manually... is this true?
All of my Channels show up with a $ sign in front of them... Am I screwed??? lol

It seems you do have a 3500 clone but in most cases they usually work in the same way. Yes, if you find a clone safe bin file you shouldn't need to enter the keys manually, but you can try this to see if it works. Enter 8282 with the remote which in most receivers will take you to the key entry area for manual entry. Most of the new bin files that are out at this time have the auto roll feature that find the keys for you. However the auto roll area is what the providers seem to attack so the keys won't roll properly. They have been changing encryption on a regular basis every few days. Entering keys manually won't help at all at this time. We need new bin files.

Well we are all in the same boat right now. Just waiting on the bin files, but it may be a week or two. Look in your main menu for any section listed as CAS. Thats the key area. Maybe under the options. Not sure on a CLONE.

Season Greetings Jerry

Tonight I went to http://dsscentral.net/files2007/index.php?act=download&id=414 and downloaded the lastest file version "346" but on the receive after loading it says 345. We had 343 installed and had basic channels. Since installing 346 we have nothing. What should I do now

Thanks
