I encoded a movie with dvd shrink and chose to make an iso image file. I saved the iso image file in Disk drive D and it had 8.93 gigs left. The iso image file size was about 4.25 gigs, so drive D was left with about 4.67 gigs. After I was finished with the image, I deleted it, but drive D still had only 4.67 gigs left. Why did this happen, and how can I get all that space back?? This also happened when I tried using disk drive C. I don't know what to do, and I really need that space back.

Make sure that you don't have Norton's protecting your recycle bin.

Wow, thanks a million LOCOENG. I found the protected files, deleted the iso image, and the space returned. I have another question though, how do you prevent Norton from protecting the recycle bin?

Disable it in Norton's CP.
