Hi,
I have a heavily scratched samsung DVD+R disk with some important files. However, the data layer of the DVD is 100% undamaged. So, I'm wondering whether there's a physical method of recovering those data... I tried most data recovery software but they were no use.

If ISOBuster does not work the first time, try a disc cleaning/polishing kit that uses AC power rather than batteries. That will use a bit of jeweler's rouge in the polishing of the disc bottom that may be enough to allow the drive to recover files even without ISOBuster. Some of these devices actually do improve the readability of badly scratched discs, but use them to recover data in order to transfer it to another disc.

I already tried ISO buster and a regular 9V disk cleaner to no avail. Why A/C?
