I'm running very low on dvd+r discs so I ran to kmart to check what they had. Anyway they have some fuji's made in taiwan and also had sony's made in japan. So I figured the sony made in japan would be better. So I picked up a 25 pack, not cheap 14.99, but not terrible expensive either. Also I ordered TY's from supermediastore.com and they were delivered last week by ups supposedly left on the front porch, but they weren't here so I don't know who's porch they left them on. Someone must be enjoying them for free probably a neighbor or something. Now I have to wait 7 days before supermediastore can file a claim through ups then resend them. UPS will hopefully get them to the right address this time. Anyway here is what disc id shows, are these good?

yeah there good read your info [Taiyo Yuden Co. Ltd.] same media as you order from supermediastore. so basically all the Sony media you find thats DVD+R thats "Made In Japan" will code out as Taiyo Yuden

Yeah I knew they were Taiyo Yuden. I just don't have any idea what the -T02-000 after that means. Are different qaulity TY's are are they all good?

Sorry my last sentence in my last post didn't make much sense. Maybe I should lay off the beer for tonight. Just wondering if all Taiyo Yuden's are equal or if there are differences? Thanks for the reply

yup Taiyo Yuden media is Taiyo Yuden media is ...... its ALL the same quality 4x 8x 16x. join us here and read up

SONY, No longer code as Tayo Yuden specific though the packaging will say MIJ on some +or- and MIT on others. The codes are actually the same on either, It's good DVD media either way. And no known proof to prove otherwise. SONY is one of the better DVD media disc found locally along with VERBATIM. TY can be had from several reputable websites at discount prices as well. Do a search or just yell!(Politely) I'm sure a forum member here will advise you on where they can be purchased and for the best price.:P

Ok thanks aabbccdd for the info and link. Some of the sony's at kmart were made in taiwan some made in japan, so I got the ones made in japan. Also they were covered in dust like they had been there for a while. N2DVD, thank you also and I bought a 50 pack from supermediastore.com, shiny silver ty's for 21.99, but with shipping they were the same price per disc as the sony made in japan's at kmart. Unfortunately that 50 pack I ordered from supermedia store is still lost in some ups blackhole as they never arrived and ups is now investigating where they ended up. I guess seeing as how the kmart sony made in japans are pretty much the same quality as the ty's I ordered from supermedia store and I can get them for the same price I might as well just grab up the sony's from kmart. I will try the sony's out and see how they burn with my burner first of course.

I just bought the silver TY's at Supermediastore and the were 20 and change for a cake box of fifty with free shipping. It was 8x.
