I had a quick question regarding the media I am currently using. I have been reading this forum recently and getting nervous about the discs I am using. I have Fujifilm 16x and the manufacturer id is RITEKF1. I heard Ritek is good but I'm not 100% sold on them.

By the way I have burn about 25 good backups and only ended up with 3 lame discs. And I havent had a playback problem yet, but I also have not tested all of them. Thanks for the help.

Have you had them put through the Nero tools test for errors and a score check yet?

You can download the Nero CD-DVD Speed from here to test your backups:

Draugr, I'm a little new but learning a lot thru this forum. I dl the CD-DVD Speed, but how do I get the disc quality to fill up the quality score, PI error etc etc. I disc quality and nothing happens. Am I suppose to wait? But with SCAN DISC, it fills up, all green and 100%. Is this to say the disc is good OR what I recorded is good? Or should I go to disc quality to find out what I recored came out good? Thks, I appreciate you help me here. Thks again

I downloaded the program but when and I can do the benchmark test with a blank disc but when I try to run the disc quality test the program freezes and I can't shut it down. Am I supposed to run the quality test with a disc that has already been burnt?

I think you should use a burnt disk, if not how are you going to get the errors, overall quality etc - I could be wrong, but I see all the graphs in disc quality in this forum, they test it with a disc that already has movie in it. I am still waiting for someone to ancswer my question. I'm worst here, can't even get the disc quality thing to move...
