I have some music DVD's and like to compile some highlights on SVCD.
For that proces I use DVDDecrypter for ripping the VOB files from my DVD's, MainConcept MPEG encoding for converting the VOB files into SVCD MPEG files and Nero for burning the SVCD.
This works well, the SVCD plays in my hardware DVD player. So far so good.

The only problem is that the music/video MPEG files start and stop very abrupt, because they are part from a continuous live registration. What I should like is to trim the MPEG or VOB file a bit and to fade up and fade down the audio in the beginning and end of the file/track.
Which software can do this without completely decoding and encoding the audio/video?
If there are better tricks to do the job, I am pleased to hear!
