Check out meritline.com:

http://meritline.com/taiyo-yuden-dvd-media.html

Excellent price for the Ty-g01 in the 4x speed
$35 for the Ty-g02 in the 8x speed

Looks like free shipping as well!

These are shiny thermals, but are excellent high quality media.

$40 for plus format tys is about avg,but the dash runs a lot cheaper.

+r's are better if your dvdrw drive is capable of bitsetting. Personally I don't use anything but +r's. No more -r's period. If you want a good price on great DVD+R media, check out the link I posted earlier for verbatim dvd+r's.

Verbatim are also top notch. Easier to find locally when on sale!

When on sale: 30 cents each!

Here's some good reads/explanations http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46559 http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/150 Like I said not all dvdrw drives are capable of bitsetting. You can check yours here http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters

G-Dizzle- I have used both DVD-R & DVD+R the difference in laymans terms is that if you are Not Booktyping with DVD+R media then DVD-R is slightly more compatable on most drives versus non booktyped DVD+R , DVD+R booktyped to DVD-ROM is most compatable of all ! if your drive with play a commercially Pressed movie (DVD) then your booktyped DVD+R backups should play on that drive as well with no problem ! Realistically there is nothing wrong with DVD-R media as long as you stick with quality stuff ! I just bought a large supply of Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R , I would have preffered DVD+R so I could BOOKTYPE them with my benq but they were'nt on sale & these were ! If you are'nt having problems stick with DVD-R it's cheaper & easier to find onsale online atleast , I buy both and use both so If it aint broke don't fix it ! Happy Burning!
