ExecFTP or uLaunchELF or something similar lets you copy files from memory card to USB. I'm assuming your PS2 is modified?

yes, I have slimline PS2 that is modified, but I'm not shure which mode is it...
so, this programs should help me? from what I have read about them, it seems like they are for connecting PS2 with PC, not for copying saved games from MC to USB pen drive...

ExecFTP lets you connect your PS2 to PC, and uLaunchELF lets you copy from MC to USB directly, it depends on what you have and what you want. For ELF files I copy directly from my computer to PS2, game saves it'll be safer to use the browser in uLaunchELF.

ok, but I can't find uLaunchELF for download... do you know where could I find it?
and how do you connect ps2 to a PC? via network cable? I know that I need software to make it work, but do I need some hardware or is it just network cable?

I have another question... How can I boot uLaunchELF from CD? Should I only burn files from the downloaded uLaunchELF.rar file? Will PS2 boot it that way? Does it have to be CD-R or can it be CD-RW?

What files are included in the rar file?? If it has a SYSTEM.CNF file, then yes putting all the files on a CD should get it to work, otherwise you'll need to create a SYSTEM.CNF (I think they have to be in caps from memory), and put something like this in it (just do this in notepad):
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\LAUNCH.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
Where LAUNCH.ELF is the name of the uLaunchELF filename, so whatever its called, rename it to that (I think the default is BOOT.ELF or BOOT1.ELF or something along that line)
Otherwise do a search for an uLaunchELF CD ISO, which would have all those things done for you already :)
If you have a good CD-RW, then yes you can use it for testing to see if the program works (by a good CD-RW, I mean like Sony, Verbatim etc), but you'll probably want to burn this onto a CD-R once you've confirmed that it works, because it'll be easier on your laser.
Do you know if your modchip has DEV2 mode? If it does then it can load ELF files directly from the memory card, and once you got the uLaunchELF CD to work, you can copy the ELF onto your memory card and boot it from there instead

ok, i got it... I don't know enything about my modchp... I bought my PS2 with modchip in it so I don't know wich one is in it! is there a way to find out? and if it is able to boot from MC, does that mean that LaunchELF will boot up automaticaly every time I turn my PS2 on?

When you boot your game, does it say anything special? Like with my matrix infinity, underneath the PS2 logo it says "Matrix Infinity" when it boots a game. The easiest way is to ask the store/person you bought the PS2 from.
No if your modchip support DEV2 mode, then you can press a button or boot up in a special way to load the ELF file from your memory card (otherwise if it boots up everytime, it gets annoying when you just want to play backup games)

no, it doesn't say anything when it boot up games... I guess I'll have to visit the store where I bought it! problem is that I'm nowhere near my PS2 right now! I'll be able to check all this things in two weeks time... :(

get a copy of ACTION REPLAY MAX EVO it will work with your flash drive so you can tranfer from MC to Flash Drive or vice versa

AR is picky about the USB flash it can use, uLaunchELF is much better in this...
