Recently I was interested in buying the Wifi Max for the PSP, although I have been reading mixed reviews, some have said that it doesn't work with AOL and the product itself doesn't work that well. So if I do get one does anyone know if this will work with AOL which does have a low speed of 512kbps. Also i was wondering if this worked with the DS as there appears to be one for each or will the one work with both. And are you able to put a WEP key on this as by the sounds of it, it doesn't sound that secure.
I don't know if this is relavent but my PSP has firmware 2.70

Thank you for your help.

i wouldnt buy one, people have too many problems, ofcourse there are people who just connect it and it works fine but alot of people have trouble getting it running. I would rather get a wireless router, the router has more capabilities then wifimax plus your computer doesnt have to be on.
Yes wifi max does work with DS, i dont know why they have 2 versions, i think its the software it comes with. the DS and PSP are compatible with all 802.11b routers/wifi adaptors.
Yes you can set a WEP key on the wifi max, its just as secure as any other wireless router.
It doesnt matter what psp you got.

Sometimes to keep things peaceful you need a Piece thats Full

Hi all,

Sorry to sound like another pain in the butt but I would really appreciate some help with this. I have tried all the other ways on this thread but to date have had no luck.

The best I have got out of this so far is about 5-10 mins which it worked and then it gave up after I turned my computer off and back on. (for the PSP) I orghinally installed the software, created a new connection, allowed sharing and then dialled up the new connection but it seems the dongle connection is not active and is still disconnected?

IS there anyone who knows how to set this thing up on Broadband AOL (not Wireless connection the USB one.) a simplistic guide.

If anyone has a guide on how to do this I would be much appreciative. I am on nick_18_london@hotmail.com and on this thread if anyone can help.. a Mars bar to the person who can (hopefully) sort me out on this darn thing..

Or its ebay for the dongle..

Many Thanks Guys
