Sometimes the brand of media and the speed at which you burned affect the ability of the standalone DVD player to playback a title.

Have you been able to playback other burned disks in the player? What brand? How old is it?

What brand of media did you use? What speed did you burn? Did you burn with Nero or DVD Decrypter from DVD Shrink? What is the brand of burner?

If you used Nero, post the last section of the Nero History log located in the path Program Files -> Ahead -> Nero -> NeroHistory. The last section begins:

===== Nero Burning Rom History File =====

followed by your name and program serial number which should be deleted before posting.

Yes it could have been something thrown in to throw off DVD navigation. Many use AnyDVD to prevent this sort of thing from happening. You can also use DVDFab Decrypter which is free to overcome certain structural copy protection schemes. I'm not familiar with the title so I can't tell you for sure.
