I am having a problem with this movie. Other "problem" movies (i.e., Bewitched, Geisha, etc.) went smoothly when I used DVDFab & burned via DVD Shrink. I have tried all that I can think of for this movie. Nothing works! Any suggestions?

Hi,

From what I know that particular movie does not come out until the 16th of May. Unless someone lives where they are selling it in local retail stores before that date then you will have to wait. As far as the other problem movies I suggest using the search function at the top of the page to type in 1 of those titles and used the methods 'prescribed' for those.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

You'll need either DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker (both FREE) to bypass newer released dvds, or you can try out AnyDVD (a retail cracking engine from slysoft). And of course, if you're willing to take the extra steps and learn about DVD Decrypter + PSL plugins + VobBlanker/FixVTS, then this is another FREE and flawless method as well. The choice is yours.

Just in case if you want to go with the FREE route and you're interested on how to use "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker", then here http://www.k-probe.com/backup-newly-release-movie-DVD-DVDFAB-Decr... is my "newly revised" guide. It is NOT that hard, all you need to do is spend some times and read and follow the steps closely and you'll be able to "rip and backup" any dvds/movies in no time.

**NOTE: DVDFAB Decrypter to rip is only "12 minutes" and VobBlanker to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO is only "5 minutes". The rest you can substitute Nero Recode 2 with DVD Shrink if you like.

Best of luck and happy burning.

You're welcome, glad I could help. Now you can simply apply my guide "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker" and DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2 (your choice) to any new released movie. Best of luck and happy burning.

@techguy26

So were you able to rip and backup by following the guide? Let me know if your running into any issues all right.

Hmmm.... to be honest, I've never had any "warnings" at all, regardless of what kind of movies/dvds I processed the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file through VobBlanker. So far, DVDFAB Decrypter and VobBlanker has never let me down. This method/combo has been proven to worked 100% and still work regardless of what kind of protections (i.e. ARccOS or RipGuard) whatsoever.

Out of curiosity, what version is your DVDFAB Decrypter? According to my knowledge, since DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.7.3 --> current should be able to rip any new released to the hard drive easily. Did you had any kind of cracking engines running in the background (i.e. AnyDVD or DVD43, etc.) while you're ripping the movie with DVDFAB Decrypter and while you're "processing" the VIDEO_TS.IFO through VobBlanker at all? If so, then I highly recommend you to turn them off (disabled them all) in prior to follow my guide.

Good luck and happy burning.

hours for fab decypter to image it on the hard-drive (When a Stranger Cals) and them when i opened up VOB Blanker the program would close out.....I follow te guide to the "T" what next.

I had no problem using FabDecryper 2.9.7.7 and Shrink. I did not need FixVTS,VOBblanker or anything else. Anyone with broadband who uses DVDFabDecrypter should have it set to check automatically for updates.

Yes... it is true that DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.7.7 can rip any dvd/movie into the hard drive flawlessly, and as much as I love to use DVDFAB Decrypter (it is the "greatest FREE" ripper in my opinion), I'd still post process the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" through VobBlanker for security purpose. However, the choice is yours.

VobBlanker is needed for 2 main reasons:

(1) to correct/fix any left over junks/craps (i.e. invalid structure, fake pgc/vts, dummy cells, etc.)
(2) to blank/strip out unwanted junks (i.e. FBI Warnings, rating logos/screens, previews/trailer, extras, etc.)

I can wait 5 minutes to process my VIDEO_TS.IFO via VobBlanker and would rather have a clean/fresh VIDEO_TS in the end. Again, the choice is yours.

Best of lucks to all and happy burning.

I ripped with FabDecrypter and used Shrink to create the ISO with movie only. I did not test the disc on my standalone DVD player yet but with the most recent 2-3 versions of FabDecrypter I have not had any problems .

free software works!

Ok I must give credit where it is due, last night I went to check my ver of VOB Blanker and I did ot have the correct one, (Needded ver. 2.1.1.0) Alkohol guide is almost perfect. BAcked it up perfectly, although I am not sure od how long it took DVDFAB Decrypter because I set to run before I went to work. As long as you have the Updated Version of the software you should be able to back it up with no major pro.

Alkohol,

Can DVDFabDecrypter be switched to create ISO files rather than Video files? Same with VOBBlanker?
