Hi.

Exactly what does Diagnose do? Someone said "it focus the laser". If that's the case, why isn't it default? I'm having serious disc read errors, but in diagnose mode they work, so I thought that it might be a good clue.

I think Diagnosis changes the way a game boots, because, before I gave my friend my slim when I accidentaly took out the cog from its railing using a slide card that was too thick, the laser was reading the disc differently. It should say in the user's guide.
