more PAL than NTSC

Everytime I look for a game I want its in PAL and not NTSC ... is there anyway to get a PAL to NTSC or does it matter that it is PAL or NTSC ... thanks

If you have a NTSC PS2 it wont play the PAL games unless you have a mod chip which has region free.
And unfortunately you cant change a PAL game into a NTSC game.

o crap ... i ordered the NTSC SwapMagic and I don't know if my ps2 is NTSC ... how do u tell its a slimline v14 and it was bought in the States

Are you in the states?
if so your playstation will be NTSC unless you bought it off someone who brought it from europe or so.
So dont worry, i think you wil be good with it.

Edit:even if you are not in the states and the ps2 was bought there it will be the same. :-)

when i search for torrents i can't find a lot of games that i want b/c they aren't NTSC ... lets say i go to blockbuster and get a game ... how will i know it is NTSC or PAL ... im from the States

Ok, to clarify, any game bought or rented in the US will be NTSC, unless they are clearly labelled as IMPORT.
Btw, Swap Magic will allow you to play games from any region, so once you have that, it shouldn't matter where the game came from, it will play it anyway.

i was searching around on google and i found a site that you can convert PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL ... wonder if it works ... here is a screenshot

This thread is gonna be your best friend for knowing how to convert and which PAL games you won't have to convert with -48 y-offset because of a 60hz NTSC selector option.
