Could someone please help me help a friend. She is trying to back up her King Kong DVD and just got a new computer. She downloaded the trial version of dvd and clone. I walked her thru using clone changing the file size to 4360 and the burn speed to 4x...worked great untill it askes her for a blank disk....she inserts the blank media and it still continues to ask....is this enough info for advise? She has checked with her manual and it will take dvd+r media. any suggestions?

Make sure that the firmware for the burner is up to date...

Even if this is a new computer, you should have to update the firmware? She just bought it 2 weeks ago?

As LOCOENG says the firmware should be updated. The computer might be only two weeks old but might have sat in the warehouse or stores backroom for a few weeks before being shipped and or bought. Also some media are a no no for some drives and again Verbatim is one of the best media out there. I used to use several others until I starting using verbatim and now use them only. I use Sony or Maxell if nothing else can be found until I can fine verbatim. Good luck......
