Your rip can only go as fast as the speed of your drive will read, look at your drive specs. My Lite-on 167T will read a single layer dvd at up to 16x and for a dual layer it is half the speed or around 8x. If you want faster buy a Plextor burner, it has speed read and will get better times.

NEC drives will also rip fast when used with modified firmware that removes riplock.

Agree with Locoeng! My Nec will rip using DVDdecrypter un less than 13 minutes usually. Fast enough for me.

I agree with all of the above replies, it all depends on your drive and its capabilities. My average ripping times are 12 - 15 minutes using either DVDFAB Decrypter or DVD Decrypter.
