Firstly, i have read over 50 posts trying to find an answer :)...

My problem is with my xbox not reading my backup's

I have a samsung drive in my xbox, which will read the cd-r's that i have backup'd games on but it wont read the dvd-r's that i put the same games on......

any ideas?

Im using VERBATIM DVD-R 8X & VERBATIM CD-R 52X

Probably the way you are burning them...but I can't begin to guess how, or it could be your burner..try burning slow and if that fails try some different disks...my samsung's arent keen on verbatim dvd's (people swear by them but I think they're overpriced crap!!) get some disks with Ritek GO5 dye..they work nice..
