I used shrink , any dvd , anydvd ripper , dvd dec , fab and clone but nothing . If someone did this movie tell me how plsss thanks

This movie has SONY Arccos (Puppet Lock) But the added and infrequently used deterent here is the "Main Movie" along with "Unreferenced Material" is listed as "Non-Compressible" This will pose a problem because though the movie can be decrypted the main movie being non-compressible allows for the movie to remain too large to transfer to a 4.7GB blank media disc even after the DVD or movie has been run through SHRINK 3.2? What I did was run the file created by SHRINK 3.2 through Vob Blanker 2.1.0.0 which removes the listed "Wrong DVD Structure" "Bad Sector Protections" as well as "Invalid VOBU's" I was then able to back up the corrected Vob Blanker file using NERO Recode2. This same tactic of Non-Compressible "Main Movie" was used on Flight Plan (Region 1).
Summary for drive F: (AnyDVD 5.9.6.0)Has been updated to 5.9.6.1
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1
Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)
Size of first Layer: 2084960 sectors (4072 MBytes)
Total size: 4169920 sectors (8144 MBytes)
Video DVD (or CD) label: When_A_Stranger_Calls
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!
RCE protection not found.
Found & removed wrong DVD structure!
Found & removed structural copy protection (Arccos, Puppetlock)!
Found & removed bogus title set!
Found & removed invalid VOBUs!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 4 bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

also you can use the AnyDVD ripper(which removes the bad cells and all) transcode it with CloneDVD 2 and burn

i had no problem with this movie at all i use DVD Shrink and dvd region + css free running in the backround make sure that you have the latest version of dvd region + css free and it is 5.9.7.6. good program a lot of people use any dvd , but my self i like this better, i have not found any movie that i could not backup yet, knock on wood

I also have the latest version CloneDVD2 which generated an error. Please explain, How easy it was to back up this film. Please understand I didn't say it was impossible, Hey I was able to back-up my copy, But this flick has some challenges. Running the movie through SHRINK 3.2 twice may also work (I did not try this method). I've never used DVD region + css free But would be interested in how anyone deals with the compression issue, Again it's not impossible to back this movie up, it just offers a bit of a welcomed challenge:P
Also if anyone here is successful with CloneDVD2 be advised that Clone will do so with low compression %46 (Unacceptable)that is if you keep the extras and menu as I did. "Enjoy this one people".:P

i have tried this movie, cant back it up, using shrink and AnyDVD, used fabdecrypter to rip it to hard drive though, run thru vobblanker and when it comes to vts22 it says reached end to early, have tried skipping this file and blanking it with no luck, anyone having the same problems as this?

ARccOS and Puppetlock are always bad news protection. Have you tried the AnyDVD ripper? Since this movie has not come out yet it is hard to say what the problem is. If there is anything different in the protection slysoft can only work with what it has. You can always contact them and bundle the ifo files up and send them to slysoft.

@sesko, Did you try what I suggested? I backed the movie up to file using SHRINK 3.2 and then ran the file through VOB Blanker 2.1.0.0 then ran the file created from VOB Blanker through Nero recode2...SUCCESS!(Including menus and DVD extras).:P

I was able to back-up "When a Stranger Calls" after considerable problems, New Sony Encryption will not work with "DVD43", it will lock-up computer as soon as disc is installed. You must "close DVD43" if installed on computer.
I used:
DVDFab ver: 2.9.7.7
Then "1clickDVD" to shrink.
Then Nero to burn.
I had to reinstall "DVD43" The new sony encryption makes changes in registry.
ALSO: has anyone had other computer problems after trying this disc? I am having problems with Nero and other programs. I think this disc messed with registry! I am thinking about restoring to an earlier date before this disc.

@n2dvd, if you ran it thru DVD Shrink first, why would you need to run it thru VOB blanker second then? since shrink worked for you right off the bat, then you could just use Nero to burn it.....

I also had problems after I tried to rip this disc. Now my DVDFab is ripping Really Slow. I mean like 6 to 12 hours. I tried to unintsatll and reinstall the program but its still doing that. Other prgrams like AnyDVD and Shrink do fine. Anyone have any ideas. Is there a way to completely uninstall the program.
I have a Dell 510 by the way and its only like 1.5 month old. The movie is'nt even worth all these problems.

okay, i finally got my update to AnyDVD working without telling me i am on a free trial, wasnt happy when i seen that though, but thats another story! anyhow, no problem backing this movie up with AnyDVD 5.9.6.1 running in background and dvdshrink!

@SESKO, Running the movie through SHRINK 3.2 alone did not work for me. NERO was unable to burn it (Open the file), That may be because I had my original DVD disc in my DVD drive (this sometimes can create a problem or conflict on my PC. I then decided to run the file through Vob Blanker then NERO 6 Recode2. I said it was a complicated flick. See see see.

I got this to work with AnyDVD 5.9.5.3 and Shrink. I really don't see why everybody is having problems with this at all.

@juleswinn, this is my first problem since christmas, some people have problems and some dont! sometimes its a bad burn on the dvd, but people still ask questions, and all of us learn from it!
