several agrements with aabbccdd, 1st the movie was crap, 2nd, but burned it with AnyDVD and clonedvd2 on a DVD+RW just to give it a shot to see it it would work, it came out fine, 3rd I also carry spysweeper, I'm not sure if my version I bought last summer captures rootkits by I do know the new version 4.5 definatly does, am up for my yearly upgrade anyway soon from them and will be glad to spend the 20 some bucks to do so, don't trust sony as far as I can throw them.

Below is what I read about Webroot's Rootkit removal feature, explained in a recent Webroot emailed news update.
Spy Sweeper 4.5 Offers Rootkit Detection
The most dangerous spyware threats today use rootkit technology to hide spyware deep within your PC. A regular, full sweep with the latest version of Spy Sweeper, version 4.5, can reveal those spyware programs and put them in quarantine. Updating to Spy Sweeper 4.5 also provides you with four new blocking shields (ActiveX Shield, Browser Helper Object (BHO) Shield, IE Security Shield and Spy Communication Shield) to prevent common exploits and drive-by downloads.

I am new here. I was having the same issue trying to backup this movie. After reading some of the posts I went ahead and started trying some stuff. I have AnyDVD 5.9.5.3. I could not use CloneDVD 2. Instead I used DVDShrink 3.2.0.15. The catch is that I had to reauthor the movie and only drag for backup the Movie title. It works just fine. If you don;t mind not having the Menu and the special features you should do this.

I don't know why so many of you (some) are having trouble with this movie. Yes, it is true that it has some protections, but it is not that hard.
Either you use the latest from AnyDVD or DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker (FREE) and the rest is history. Good luck to all.

I was just try'in to point-out a compatability problem with this conbination of software...which lots of people use...and this disc's combination of sony encryption...I do use DVD Fab (when DVD43 does-not work) it just adds time and another step for me, so I prefer DVD43 and 1ClickDVD.
As for AnyDVD, I've had compatability problems with my systems other software programs and AnyDVD...and IT'S NOT FREE... I've already paid $$$ for 1ClickDVD...so updates are now FREE FOR ME...and I prefere 1ClickDVD
I was just try'in to let people know, who use this softare combination: (DVD43...1ClickDVD...and Windows XP)
WATCH OUT FOR SYSTEM CRASH!!!IF YOU INSERT THIS MOVIE...and I do mean, simply inserting this movie!
Install DVD43 and this movie, and see what happens if you don't believe me...
That's all I was try'in to get across...I am not try'in to ruffle anyones tail feathers... and I sincerely apologize, if I did!

I have read about several people now that have stated that thier computers crashed or other after installing this movie, If it was just one person or maybe even two making this kind of statement I maybe would not even give it a second tought, I did say before I dont trust sony as far as I can throw them and stopped buying any kind of thier product and never will again because of the rootkit scandal, but I was under the impression that they are getting sued over what they did and they vowed they would'nt do it again I think, more than 2 people is not a coincident, and I don't think I'm bieng paranoid here, something doesn't smell right, what kinda suprizes me is there are a lot of wizez on AD and I don't hear anything bieng kinda concerned, don't forget it was a computer wiz that did some poking around after his system started to act funny with sony cd's, thank God he was nosesy, I agree it might be nothing, but if I was a wiz I definatly would dig further.
I read up on many differnet forums from other sites, and I don't have to be an expert to know that the people on AD are the most intelegent, hope somebody gives this another look.

@Fredbun
Thanks I couldn't agree with you more, about the experts on this site...it wasn't just me, as I stated in my original post, but my friends system also...If this was just a reboot and alls fine... that would be diffrent, but my system has become unstable as well as my friends, ever since inserting disc...And I thought $ony as Fredbun said "vowed to never do it again" if indead this is a rootkit issue!
I was not trying to be disrespectfull by saying install it and see... I was putting it out to the experts, on this site, to check it out first hand and see if their is SOMETHING NEW going on here by are wonderful friends at $ony!!!
A.D. Rocks that's why I posted this issue here!!!

Lp531, thats another reason to have AnyDVD it protects you from rootkit freeware is freeware thats why DVD43 causes problems(doent update often) where as AnyDVD wont(dont run both progrmas on the same machine DVD43 and anydvd)as the old saying goes You Get What You Pay For AnyDVD updates all the time , DVD43 doesnt and new movies give that program problems ,crashing etc. 1 click is a ok program but not in the same league as CloneDVD 2 .so bottom line your always better off with CloneDVD 2 and AnyDVD or go alkohols route with the freeware!!!

I appreciate your suggestions... I have never had a disc crash my system before and I have never had a problem with 1ClickDVD... I agree DVD43 takes a little longer to update to beat new encryption schemes...but I have found that DVDFab has the new schemes beat before DVD43 and AnyDVD...DVDFab usually has the new encryptions beat before the movie comes-out...Which by the way is what I need, You Can't be any faster then that!!!
DVDFab...DVD43...1ClickDVD...Nero...work for me!
AnyDVD does not work for me due to incompatability problems with other software on my system. I know DVD43 and AnyDVD are incompatable with each other that is not the programs I had conflicts with.
As for CloneDVD 2 I have it, just don't like it! The same for DVD Shrink.
Everybody has programs they like and can use naturally. CloneDVD 2 and DVD Shrink are programs that don't work naturally for me.
You don't have to be an expert with 1ClickDVD, thats all I am saying.
When I back-up a movie I want:
NO MENUES!
NO EXTRAS!
And I want to be able to do it with-out a guide book!
