Assuming EB GAMES has a return policy for used psp's, I will bring my psp's battery to test to see if it is a used psp version 1.50-2.00 psp and buy it and the next day return it (but I will return my 2.50 and they will think I am returning the same PSP)
Will this work??
P.S.
In real life can I return the used psp I have bought FOR THE SAME PRICE THAT I HAVE BOUGHT IT?

This will work, and it isn't illigal in any way. (Assuming that you won't be playing pirated games on your psp :o)
But I'll tell you this-- EB games is CHEAP. So if it is a v1.0-2.0 firmware, don't tell them anything or they'll become suspicious.

So....will I get back every penny when I return MY PSP (by making them think its the same one..) or will they give me EB GAMES credit (in other words less money)

ublade, if there ever is someone smart that catches me can I just go to another EB GAMES and redo the whole process of returning? (in other words buy from one EB GAMES and return it in another)

i bricked my first psp 4 months ago and i just got a second hand psp v2.00 from eb games for $250. i was so happy now ive just gotta find someone who will repair my bricked psp..... i donno if that will work but i know people are trading in the black psps for white ones and ive seen at least 4 people with low firmware psps that dont even know you can play games for free. what im trying to say is people will trade their old ones in because the dont know of what they are missing out on and they dont upgrade obove v2.00 because they dont go onto the pc to see about stuff and if they did they would come across homebrew.... sry about that just saying wat i no cos u do have a big chance.

Can I sell my v. 2.50 motherboard and buy a 1.5 motherboard? Is that possible or do I have to sell the complete psp and buy a whole new psp?

when you buy from ebgames gamestop exc. it prints out the serial of the psp on the reciept so if it has it on the reciept smudge it out or get it wet or just forget the reciept and try to bs...

Or buy a FW1.5 PSP,then put the serial number sticker from the FW1.5 PSP on the FW2.5 PSP that you have and return the FW2.5 PSP. It might work :)

hey guys..i hav a question...if u hav a fw 2.6 psp, can u trade it in to EB games for another v2.00 or v1.5 psp? how does that work? how can you tell by just looking at the box that its a v2.00 or v1.5 psp?

D-2.00 Unconfirmed

its not a big huge letter saying like "G" or "H"...its like encoded in the code....so sommun like 1hg74-G-4tert....or summin like that....but the letter is distinctive...this may help:
