Do anyone here thinks that when firmware version 3.0 is released, that it will possible to hack the 3.0 graphics into 1.5? I mean it will have all the functions of the 3.0 firmware but you main psp firmware still be 1/1.5?
I was wondering, because v3.0 supposed to be very powerful, and that would be cool if you could use it with older firmware.
I just thought it was a matter of extracting the graphic files out of 3.0 and replacing them with your 1/1.5, but I may be wrong.
Post your thoughts! ;)

hopefully, but unfortunately that's going to be at least a year after 3.0 is released, maybe more. how long has the oldest un-cracked firmware been out now? quite a while :(

Well did you know someone hacked the EBOOT of a update to update 2.6's to a fake 3.0 which worked and it showed version 3.00, but it only had 2.60 abilities?

Because with hex editing you can change the values so it displays that its a 3.0, but you aren't touching any flash files or codecs, which is why you cant have 1.5 capabilities, but you can make it say you have a 3.3 psp if you want

Its not that easy 3d, sony have encrypted alot of the stuff in newer firmwares which makes it even harder to hack, and if you try and make an update it wont work, it will be corrupted as the psp performs 4 or 5 checks before it runs any update to see if its real..

you kno how sxt changer makes your psp say its a 7.5 but it still does everything a 2.0 does?, well someone probably just used hex editor and did the same, its no biggie, and as you said since it has all the features of 2.6 all they did was change the name.

Any one heard of X-Flash? Art made it over at the pspupdates forums, that also spoofs the version number like you can change it to 9.99 or 13.37..
