I ahve Age of Mythology and have tried to use CD Clone. But it gives me an error. Any suggestions?

it wouldnt be the error that says clone cd cant get exclusive rights to such and such a drive, just click ignore and see how you go

Are you using Slysoft's CloneCD or another program called CD Clone?

Which error?
The only two errors I ever see are
1. exclusive access to drive....
2. error reading media.
is the disk scratched or dirty? I've backed this game up using CloneCD without problems.

I am using CD CLONE 1.10 not Clone CD. The error I am getting is " Error when reading data.too many LEC check errors,stop reading". I just tried Clone CD and it did nothing. I have tried my AOM game and a friends and neither of them will back-up.

What is the condition of the original game disk? You are trying to back up an original, correct?

what version of clone cd do you have as verion 5 and above have no probs with that game

Don't know of anything else to suggest buddy, I've used CloneCD to backup my games to prevent damage,scratching of the disks, you have no idea how many kids disks I've saved over the years by keeping the original in my closet and letting them destroy the copies when they drop them or scratch them. Age of mythology was an easy back up with CloneCD. Check to see if the disk is either scratched or dirty.

I just got Clone CD to read the disc and back it up to a blank one. But when I try to start the game I get this error- "cannot locate the age of Mythology: the titans CD rom. Please eject and re-insert the AOM CD-ROM,CLICK OK,AND RESTART GAME." I have tried that and keep getting that error. I am using the trial version of CD Clone version 5.2.9.1 It does show that I have it in my drive cause I get the AOM icon when I open my computer and it shows that the game is in my E: drive which is what I always use to play other games.

Just to also make sure I am doing this right . When I open up CD CLONE I click "COPY CD" Then I click the drive the original game is in. Then I click on "GAME CD" I don't have any of the boxes on the next screen checked. DO I need to check any of those 3 choices? Then I click next and that is when it starts reading original disk.

Open CloneCD, Click on Copy CD, (or read to image file)
On the next screen select your CD reader, click next, Click on protected game CD, click next, select folder to save file, or just use default, hit okay and let it rip.
Just tried backing up game again and it was successful, Sony DRU-800a, CloneCD 5.2.8.1 all is well, no errors.
