Is there anyway to make a HDD act like an official Sony HDD. where it will detect it automatically instead of having to use HDAdvance?

yes, get a good modchip like DMS4 Pro
then you can put in a large HDD and do whatever you need with the ToxicOS it runs on, which has a built in HD Loader.

Or just go get HD Loader,

DMS4 pro has a built in HD Loader so it does detect it automatically as soon as it is installed.
Then will pop up a box and ask if you want it formated.
Just like games, if you stick it on the install tab on ToxicOS and put a game in the drive it will automatically ask if you want to install it to the HDD

It is full auto with nothing extra needed but the chip and latest ToxicOS V0.41 flash.

I do not have the pro version of DMS. I have the Lite version which cannot use the toxicOS. Just wondering if there was another way. thanks for all the input. Guess I need to just upgrade to Pro chip

The DMS4 Pro is the chip that will have the most features and due to it being an OS rather than just a BIOS it will always have a lot more to offer than the Lite version
you may want to find out what this is
"Support for the HDD browser upgrade on a non-Sony HDD"
as this is one of the features on the BIOS

But other than that you will need HD Loader without upgrading your chip to the Pro version
