a buffer overflow means: you are trying to store too much data in a space designed for less. Input normally goes into a temporary storage area, called a buffer, whose length is defined in the program or the operating system. So your program isn't running properly and it is trying to write too much data onto the DVD and

sooooooo what program are you using and how big is the file that you are trying to get onto the DVD?

Heres my take on the matter, if you are using Nero 7.2.0.3 or 7.2.0.3b, this is from another thread I wrote.
Quote:
I have recently dealt with 3 log files that show this error

21:09:20] DVDEngine ERROR
[21:09:20] DVDEngine cause: 128 (nmc_processing_exception)
[21:09:20] DVDEngine source: CDVDProcessor::ProcessSector
[21:09:20] DVDEngine description: buffer overflow
[21:09:20] DVDEngine

and they all have occurred in Neros latest version of 7.2.0.3...never before this version had I seen this error.

My recommendation to ALL those who have version 7.2.0.3 is to uninstall it, run this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and then revert to 7.0.8.2 which has proven to be BUG FREE, you can get it from here

http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version

Another stuff up by Nero

Nice Gwendolin, maybe that's why Nero wasn't working properly for just making a copy of a copy! I'll have to do that again when I get a chance! thank you!
