I went to Abacus to order some ink for my Epson R200 and was disappointed to see that they are now charging $5.05 per cartridge on my R200 printer. The heck with them...went to Super Media Store and got 24 catridges (4-black, 4-cyan, 4 magenta, 4- light cyan, 4-yellow, 4-light magenta) for $55.00 shipped (FREE shipping) too!
With Epson charging $12.99 for color and $17.99 for black ink, I won't pay high prices on this stuff. Still have to send in my Class Action lawsuit papers against Epson. As part of their settlement, you can get like $40 worth of items on their online store. Whoohoo...that's enough for 2 black cartridges! I hate all companies whose sole purpose is to screw over their consumers!

hehe dvdripper,

i was actually commenting on this last week, with a very similar topic found here:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/325605

i too purchased the ink from supermediastore last week (as i have used them before in the past w/ good results), they are comparable IN MY OPINION to those offered/sold by abacus (G&G)~ :)

but after the DRAMATIC price increase, abacus will no longer get any more business from me; they're a great company to deal with don't get me wrong, but their prices are not competitive enough for me to retain a return customer like myself...

Oh man! I didn't realize they had gone up so high on the ink. Almost $11 for the set. The last I got, was still the old price, a month or two ago.

I just sent them an email, letting them know why I wouldn't be ordering any more ink from them. I also let them know that word was going around at an online forum about their high price, and how they were losing a lot of customers over it. Y'all should send them an email too, to show them that it's not just me.

I guess I'll start using Supermediastore.com now.

Check out printonadime.com I've printed over three hundred covers and discs and still have ink left, only $45 to refill all six colors. This system is the best

I use lazormonks.com or ink4ever and they have stayed fairly cheap. I
have used them for the last couple years and I have a Canon printer.

@outdoor........
I'd stay with Abacus new price of $27.22 plus shipping, before I'd pay $45, but thanks anyway.

@BIGTOXY69......
Will check out your site later, and watch for a sale.

@BIGTOXY69..........
$39.84 is their price for the ink for my printer. Even with 45% off, it's not a cheap as supermediastore.com. There is an extra black cartridge with it, but also with SMS's. I really need the yellow as an extra cartridge, instead of the black. Usually, the black is the last one to run out, yellow being the first.
I thank you anyway. :o)
