V330 internal server error 0x50 w/MPT software

I was able to use MPT almost seamlessly for awhile after initial install, but I recently have been unable to download pictures from the phone. MPT can't access my phone pics. I tried closing the program, reopening it, every time it would want to configure my phone all over again and sometimes it couldn't even connect to my phone via the USB. Sometimes the errors said the phone disconnected, or unable to connect to phone. So I did an uninstall of the MPT software, reinstalled it (OS is XP w/o SP2) and it didn't even ask for the serial number. Wierd?! It managed to reinstall, but after I bypassed a screen that said it didn't pass the XP compatability test. I checked out the user manual and it stated that it's Xp compatible. Everything worked fine afterward, but it still couldn't access the pics from the phone. So I changed MPT to run under 2000 for the MPT software only. No luck, put it back to XP, and I almost thought it might be the USB cable, but then it finally gave the error: Request denied by phone (internal server error (0x50)). Unfortunately I don't know which version of MPT I have because someone bought it for me off of E-bay, and it's nowhere to be found on the software disk, or the software properties, menus, or user manual. Funny thing is they're having a similar problem, but with a V3 razor. So I don't think it's the phone. Help!!!!
