Can anyone tell me about the .IRX format on the singstar dvd's? I am wanting to find out about how to read the files.

.irx files are like .dll files for ps2. they are extensions to programs, what thier use un singstar would be i have no idea, what are they named? what folder are they in?

When i right clicked and explore I see there's a shortcut that says System, then one that says
'pack ee.pak'
'pak iopo.pak'
'pak iopm.pak'
'sces 538.90'

then a sub-folder called IOP

'ioprp280.img'
then all these ones which all have the extention .irx, monitor,pak, scream, singsnd, usbmic.

then the last sub-folder called LIB.

all of these have the extention .irx at the end as well.
dbcman, ds2u, eyetoy, libsd, mcman, mcserv, sio2d, sio2man, usbd and vdgcu d.irx that is all that is on the disc.

thats right now i remember irx files are driver files eg coz is got USBD.IRX it has USB support, eyetoy.irx for eyetoy support...
You cant really edit these files exept with a hex editor but i dunno what you would be able to achieve.
