I purchased and installed perfectly the flip top cover. However, I'm not getting a load screen every time I insert the boot disc. I'm assuming it's not being read and the disc is not spinning. I did get it to work some of the time but not consistently. Should they be loading every time?

The sad thing about this is it seems your laser is on the way out..try having a look at the laser tweaking and repair guides here http://cyber-mag.com/phpBB2/index.php
