Well if you hadn't known, there is a DAXZ ISO Loader 0.62 which now supports game loads from USB so I was testing and get it to work. Well I am soon going to write up a guide but I just want to confirm if it works, I sawa while back on this forum a topic about having a 80 gig hardrive for psp. Well people said you can't as PSP is a FAT system. Well if you getting the idea that I am getting then your on track. Well if you don't know how to play games off usb, then check this guide out by pspinfo.tk

http://www.maxconsole.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20413

Any way, all I am wondering is will this work on a Harddrive external? So I can have unlimited games, while on the move. Like this;

Good Luck and thanks for info

You could use an external harddrive now with your psp even without daxloader.
You just need to make sure that your external hd has a usb host option. If it works on your computer it should work on the external hd.
The only difference is, if it works with the external hd then you will be able to direct load from your hdd where as before you would have to transfer files back and forth.

the first method i told you about with the ext hdd works as well, and has been tested. alex's method only provides a way to direct load it. it was already possible to link an external hdd with your psp. I guess i should stop second guessing alex, as i heard he was working on this a few weeks ago lol.

Well Ill get mine tuesday and tape it to the back of my psp. Now I don't have to worry about a 4gb card. the external hdd is actually cheaper than a 4gb card. But 3dluis is wrong. You wont have unlimited games. It will depend on the size enclosure you buy.

actually an external drive work work with direct load. so i was right, you can still use an external hdd with the first method i talked about. You will be swapping files back and forth but you wont be able to direct load, unless its with a enclosure hdd, with windows and a usb host option.

I am daydreaming blissfully about the time when this will be availible using wi-fi. At that point my life will become truly complete, lol.

This is such a cool app, very excited to get an external HDD now, anyone planning to homebrew their own casing or clip to attach the HDD to their PSP, or is it just gonna be trusty gaffer tape?

About the unlimited thing, I exagerated but you'd probally be able to fit all the psp games on that that are out now no sweat if you get a 60 gig which I might be getting

And I won't even worry about cutting it, now I could have full games on it, all the music all the video's no rips :)

The thing with an external HDD, how will you be able to run the usbhostfs_pc.exe from it?

If you have one of those External Harddrives,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portable-60Gb-Hard-Drive-for-PSP-Free-Skin-...

It already has a USB host which you can already navigate

How bout if you put it in windows first, plug it in, than use the harddrive as your Local Disk with every Windows aplications and files, maybe install Windows XP on it. n stall the drive on it, and maybe it might work?

i put the the 2 sce folders in the psp game folder
then i put the daxziso in the psp root.
then i did replace it with the new daxziso for the usb support and did the rest all as it said in the readme.
i also got the the game list in the dax thru my usb
but whenver select the game in the psp it comes black screen and nothing else. wat should i do.??????????
i didtnt change any of the dax settings.
