Your best bet would be usb extreme. Cut scenes in some games will skip a little though.
2.)Yep, it's compatible
3.)No it's not expensive, and can more than likely be found on ebay.
4.)Yes, as long as it fits in the case.
5.)The only connection you will need is a usb cable to connect your hard drive to the ps2.
6.)No, the only disk you will need is the usb extreme disk.
7.) Since you have a fat ps2, you will be better off putting a hard drive in that ps2 than the slim ps2. Putting a hard drive in the fat ps2 will have more compatiblity with games, won't skip on cut scenes, and loading time will be very fast compared to using a hard drive on a slim ps2. The only thing you will need is a network adapter to power up the hard drive and hd advance. Actually, you don't even have to buy an hd advance disk because you can just burn it and load it using swap magic. If you wanna put hd advance on your memory card you can buy using the memory card exploit and never again will you have to use swap magic. You can look at the links in my sig for information on how to make an eploit cd and also an .elf for hd advance that you can just burn to a cd. So in my opion I would just put a hard drive in the fat ps2 as it will save you a lot of trouble later down the road.
8.) No it cannot play ps1 games
ps3 with 20gb hard drive
xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.
White and black 1.5 psp's
I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!
