Can windows (at least 98 second edition) run on the psp through the gta eloader? Can I use programs like bitcomet on it and download things on my 2 gb mem stick pro duo from hot spots? I ask this because I have dial-up and I'd rather go to hotspots and download something in 1.5 hours than in 3 weeks at home...
If I insult you...don't get offended...my insults are "friendly insults"...I know this sounds stupid (ridiculous) but I am fet up of writing, "no offense" in my posts...

I dont think that you can use Windows on a firmware 2.6 PSP, even on a firmware 1.5 it takes hours to load Win98. (the team at http://www.psphacking101.com made a podcast on this).
If you just want to download things using your PSP, try the Links2 Browser, you can find the download at http://www.psp-hacks.com/ . (But you cant use Bittorrent with it)

one thing, if you put some operating systems on your psp, you wont be able to play the psp. It will become that operating system.

Yeah over at psphacking101 they loaded windows 95 and it took 10 mins to boot up, it will be slow because the psp CPU only supports up to 333/166MHz

Can I have any OS that will run faster than that?? All I want is to download things like 500 MB...for me it takes 12 hours to dl 100 MB and thats not on torrents..torrents are slower!!
P.S. I have dial up so I can't keep my internet open for 12 hours times 5 because then I wont receive calls...

Maybe its time to go broadband then dude..
If you live in the UK, NTL are doing 4bm broadband for 14.99 a month which i think is a great investment.

http://www.bulldogbroadband.com, they started off REALLY bad, court cases, thousands of customers angry..etc, but now theyve cleared up and are excellent :) But the speed really depends on how close to the exchange you are, because im meat to get 8 meg but i only get 6.6meg because of the distance, anyway there a good company..
