Okay. i have been wondering. some of these DVDs have wierd or Japanese names this is how i am pronouncing them

Taiyo Yuden
[Thai-Oh You-Den]

Verbatim
[Vehr-baa-tim]

then i went to Circuit City to buy some [Ver-baa-tims] the guy pronounced them

[Vehr-BATE-ims]

what is the correct way to pronounce?? how do YOU pronounce them?

i pronounce Taiyo Yudens the same way you do, phoenetically, but they are spelled "TAIYO YUDEN" (you are missing the "i" in your spelling) :)

in terms of the Verbs, they are pronounced exactly as stated in a dictionary for the word "verbatim," meaning: In exactly the same words; word for word

VER- BA (strong/long A, ie. as in the word pAY)- tim :)

diff. locale's have diff. pronounciations, might be due to the cultural dialects/accents in your particular town...hehe

Verbatim is an english word. It means to repeat something word for word.
