Which version of the ISO do you have? If its the US version, you have to use the RunUMD mod method. (according to the compatibility list: http://www.psp-hacks.com/loader-compatibility-list.php ).

You can find a guide to use the RunUMD mod method, here:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/329866
(scroll to method 4/5/6)

Hope this helped,

1.5 = the best FM. No other FM allows u to run all the great homebrew out there. Plus, there are only a few games out not running on 1.5, so i would definetely stick with it (cause they will run soon for sure);)

First of all, dont upgrade, you cant play ANY ISOs on FW2.00.

You mean WinRAR, not winpar right?

What is the extension of the file?

If it is .rar, you will need to extract it and make it into a .iso file using UMD Gen (download from here:http://www.umdgen.com/ )

Hope this helped,

If you have all that in UMD Gen, all you do now is go to File-->Save and specify the ISO folder in your PSP Memory Stick and save it with any name you want. The extension is .iso

eternalis, heres a newb question. I guessing that the dbz prx are decrypted right? Does this mean i can swap them for those in any other game requiring 1.5-2.5 fw (not sure what version dbz requires, thought it was 2.5) instead of using star wars bf or metal gear prx's. Thx for the insight.

Go to eternalis' site, he generously posted the prxs there. Here the link:

http://eternal-psp.vze.com/

ty eternalis to making the prxs easily accessable:)

next, go inyo UMDGEN, go into the exisitng module folder, and 1 BY ! REPLACE ALL THE PRXS. DONT DELETE THE EXISITNG ONES, REPLACE THEM.

then sav the new iso onto your harddrive, transfer it to ur mem stick and boot it with what ever loader is compatible with socom (I forget, its been a while)

You dont need to dump the UMD. Just download MPH Game Loader, and extract the archive to your memory stick. Then download the Firmware 2.00 flash files from here: http://eternal-psp.vze.com/dl.htm and extract it to the mphgameloader folder in the root of your memory stick.

Just run mphgameloader and the umd will start.

@svtstang- You can find a guide for DBZ here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/319328

Yes, there are homebrew programs that allow u to dump the the contents of the umd to your HDD so u can modify them to make them work on early firmware such as 1.5.

Visit this link: http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/13

get urself Fast loader, it allows u to dump ur UMD.

After u dump the UMD, open UMDGEN, open the iso u just dumped, and replace the prx's with the ones u got from eternalis, and create a new iso. Finally load the iso onto ur memory stick

@eternalis, I have DBZ workin fine, my question was if the decrypted prxs from DBZ were compatible with all the other games that require prx swaps(except the games that need the X folder of course).
